| 水镁石 brucite 镁的氢氧化物矿物。成分为Mg（OH）2 又称氢氧镁石。成分中的Mg可部分被Fe2+、Mn2+、Zn2+类质同象替代。三方晶系，晶体呈板状或截顶的小菱面体；一般呈叶片状集合体产出。纤维状的变种称纤水镁石，其纤维可剥离并具弹性。通常为白色，也有灰、浅绿等色。玻璃光泽，解理面上珍珠光泽。解理平行底面、极完全，薄片具挠性。莫氏硬度2.5，比重2.38～2.4 。水镁石是由方镁石（MgO）或蛇纹石等富镁的硅酸盐以及富镁碳酸盐矿物经低温热液蚀变而成。常与蛇纹石、菱镁矿等伴生而成豚状产出，也见于变质白云岩和变质灰岩中。世界著名产地有设得兰群岛中的安斯特岛和意大利的奥斯特。水镁石用作镁质耐火原料，也是提炼金属镁的次要来源。 |
