性质:遗传物质的核苷酸顺序中有一处或多处发生突变的现象。突变可自发产生,也可被诱变剂人工诱发。自发突变具有随机性、稀有性(频率一般在10-6~10-10间)和可逆性等特点。诱变剂的使用则可使自发突变频率提高10~105倍,它引起遗传结构的变化包括碱基的置换、缺失和插入,以及染色体畸变等。
