Based on the unified mathematical model,it put forward the equivalent roller concept and showed the correspondence relationship between an equivalent roller and actual roller on the basis of the design concept of controllable point contacts of a spatial cam mechanism.

Comparing with normal involute gear transmission,point-line meshing gear transmission has a serial of advantages: good meshing capability,small abrasion,high efficiency,low noise,great carrying capacity,high intension,long life etc.

Different types of multi-point gear-meshing flexible transmission are introduced in the paper, the two-point gear-meshing construction is put forward, and the designing problems is preliminary researched.
