侗族节日:祭祀莎岁

祭祀莎岁,也叫“萨玛节”,是从江县龙图、云洞等地举行体现古代侗族先民反抗压迫争取自由的“征战”活动。侗语“萨”是祖母,“玛”是大,“萨玛”即是大祖母的意思。相传在母系氏族阶段,侗族有一位叫“莎岁”的女英雄,她在抵御外敌入侵的战斗中屡建奇功,族人对她崇拜无比,她不幸牺牲后,族人为纪念她,将其奉为能给侗族同胞带来平安和幸福的神灵,尊称她为“萨玛”。南部地区每一村寨都建有祭祀坛或“圣母祠”,以供奉她的英灵,并于每年春节举行一次演习性的军事活动以示缅怀。祭祀那天,人们举刀舞枪,鸣锣吹笙,着莎岁英灵在炮火中高呼着冲出村外,归来时还用标枪穿着敌人(稻草人)的“首级”表示获胜。体现了侗家人在保卫家乡的斗争同仇敌忾的气质和对英雄的无比崇拜的心情。
