针对泥沙巡测简测基础薄弱，不适应水文体制改革形势的现实，开展了流量输沙率关系、相对含沙量调制解调、水沙峰比例系数相关、水沙量相关等泥沙测算方法的应用研究，进行了输沙率与流量异步施测、桥上测沙、邻站相关减站和增加单站间测历时等测沙方式方法的分析，探讨了重力、波粒衰减、振管等物理测沙的实用条件并做了部分试验，可供业务水文部门因地制宜地选择并深入研究。
