1、 不准加工弯曲、未经冷拨和未经倒角的棒料。
2、 装料时须将料头对准夹头孔，轻轻击进。棒料长度一般以不超出料管200毫米左右为宜。
3、 四轴自动车床不准在第四工位上装料。六轴自动、半自动车床不准在第六工位上装料。
4、 保险键剪断时，就应查明原因，方准更换新键。
