“鹌鹑”是美国麦克唐纳公司专门为 b- 52战略轰炸机研制的一种用于辅助突防的诱惑导弹。

该弹的外形很像一架小飞机,采用上单翼、双垂尾布局,弹身呈矩形,进气口位于机身两侧,动力装置为一台 j58涡喷发动机。“鹌鹑”的弹翼是可以折叠的,投放后再自动打开。 其外翼段能向下折转 90度。别看它的体形比 b-52小,由于它的各个部件的交接处 (弹翼与弹体之间,弹翼与弹翼之间) 均呈直角,因此,其雷达反射截面积很大,几乎与b-52相同。

“鹌鹑”导弹不装战斗部,只配有电子对抗设备。每架 b-52 飞机可带 4枚adm-20,

使用时,依次将它们发射出去。这些诱惑导弹在飞行时由自动驾驶仪控制。由于它们能很好地模拟 b- 52的飞行轨迹和雷达反射截面积,因而可起到干扰敌方雷达的作用,使其真假难辨。
