【来源】
为川续断科植物大花囊苞花的块根。
【植物形态】
大花囊苞花 多年生草本，高达50厘米。根棒状，肉质，粗1.5～2.5厘米，常两个孪生，外皮淡褐色，内面白色，干时变蓝色。茎圆柱形，有棱及细纵纹，具腺毛。单叶对生，卵圆形，长约5厘米，宽约2.5厘米，边缘有粗大齿裂，两面有腺毛。花小，粉红色，排成疏散的2歧聚伞花序；总苞为一个8棱的囊苞，近口部封闭将果包围；萼肢微小；花冠管漏斗状，裂片5，近相等；雄蕊4；子房下位，1室，有下垂的胚珠1颗。瘦果有4棱，藏于囊状的总苞内。花期夏季。 生于山坡荒地、草丛中或松林下。分布云南等地。
【采集】
秋季采挖。

【功用主治】
益肾补气，活血调经。治肾虚腰痛，遗精，阳痿，月经不调，经闭。 ①《云南中草药》："调经活血，益肾。治闭经，月经不调，肾虚腰痛，遗精，阳痿，不孕症。" ②《云南中草药选》："补血，活血，补气。治久病体虚，慢性肝炎，月经不调，倒经，不孕症。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，0.5～1两；或炖肉服。
【选方】
治肝炎：双参一两，蒸猪肝服。(《云南中草药》)
