领导者角色期望(e xpeetation of a leader,srole)社会和个人对领导者行为的期待和要求。从宏观上讲,它表现为一定的社会心理倾向,即社会公众对领导者及其角色行为的评价、情感和行为反应方式;从微观上讲,领导者的角色期望是指在某一特定社会群体中,绝大多数成员对领导者及其行为的态度。角色期望对领导者的行为具有一定的约束作用,但它属于一种非强制性的影响力。领导行为的有效性,在一定程度上也取决于同群众的领导角色期望的符合程度。凡符合角色期望的领导者和领导行为方式,领导对象才会给予积极的评价,持积极的态度,才会有肯定的行为反应,从而推进领导角色作用的充分发挥。反之,对于不符合领导角色期望的领导者和领导行为,人们往往持否定的评价和消极的态度,当然不会有积极的响应行为,最后,势必影响领导角色作用的实现。 (范粉章撰王树茂审)
