A new method of anchorage design is briefly introduced and a comprehensive comparison is made between the conventional tensile anchora ge cable and the rapidly developing composite type anchorage cable.

the shear stress distribution of the tension soil anchor is analysed with the theory of displacement-shear stress in this paper,then the proper unit anchor length of the SBMA (the single bore multiple anchor) is determined by analysing the multiple compression soil anchor.
