又称水中亭，现名水心亭。在莲花池水中央。此亭与莲花池为园内中心风景点。清同治“莲池十二景”之一。亭西南有宛虹桥，圆拱一孔，宛若长虹卧波，衔接南岸，可达南岸藻咏厅；亭西北有九曲桥，可通北岸高芬轩、响芹榭；亭东有石阶直入湖中。亭2层，通高12米余，重檐八角攒尖顶，底层有围廊，雕梁画栋，造型轻巧。亭内有旋转式小梯可上顶层，倚窗四望，有天高水远、心旷神怡之趣。
