【投资保险】又称“政治风险保险(巧htical凡skS)”。通常是指各国政府为鼓励本国私人投资者向海外投资，通过专设机构(主要是出口信贷机构)办理的一种保险。某些私营保险组织，如英国劳合社、美国国际集团(AIG)以及国际投资担保机构(MIGA)也提供这种保险。这种保险只承保海外投资所遭遇的特定政治风险，主要是没收风险、战争风险、限制汇出风险等。商业风险则规定为除外责任。承保的投资形式包括股权投资和贷款投资，但更主要的是在海外开办企业这种直接投资方式，而且主要是指新投资，现有投资一般不保。我国在改革开放初期，为消除海外投资者的疑虑心理，吸引外商来华投资，也曾参照国际上的这种保险开办过来华投资的保险。
