低平火山口（玛珥湖 maar）：玛珥的英文“maar”来源于拉丁文“mare”，即海的意思，使德国莱茵地区的人们对湖泊、沼泽的称呼。1921年德国科学家steininger把maar定义为一种火山类型。玛珥是由岩浆水汽相互作用发生爆炸而形成的。在地表下形成了深切到围岩的圆形火山口，并被一个低矮的碎屑环包围。玛珥是一个由环形壁、火山口沉积物、火山筒和馈浆通道组成的系统。
