物种特征:描述：中等体型（35厘米）的黄褐色和灰色鸽。头顶及颈背灰白。特征为脸下及下体黄褐色。上背及翼覆羽栗褐，腰青灰，尾黑褐。整个体羽具绿色及紫晶色闪辉。背上及颈侧的绿色最为闪光。眼周裸露皮肤及蜡膜洋红。 虹膜－米黄至红色；嘴－浅色，基部洋红；脚－绯红。 叫声：轻柔的喵喵声似绿皇鸠，但不如其响亮或声长。 分布范围：印度东北部至东南亚。 分布状况：全球性易危（Collar et al., 1994）。在西藏南部及海南岛为罕见留鸟。在西藏东南部的亚热带地区也应有见。 习性：结小群至大群活动。吃果实，可能的话也吃竹果；有时在耕地食谷物。飞行缓慢如绿皇鸠。
