| 验电器 electroscope 检验物体是否带电的仪器。最简单的金箔验电器结构如图，在接地的圆筒内有金属棒，棒的顶端装有金属盘或金属球，棒下端粘有一对金箔，金属棒与圆筒经绝缘体隔开。当验电器同带电体接触带电时，一对金箔因带上同种电荷相互排斥而张开一定角度。带电体的电势越高，金箔张角越大，经校正后，可由张角大小粗略测出带电体的电势。
验电器还可用于鉴别带电体所带电荷的正负。例如，先以带正电的带电体与验电器接触，使金箔带正电，张开一定角度，然后，将待鉴别的带电体携至圆盘附近，若带电体带正电，则张角增大，反之减小。 |
