又称“反气旋”。在同一海拔高度的平面上，中心气压高于四周气压的区域。有冷性和暖性之分。在北半球，高气压的气流围绕高气压中心作顺时针方向流动；在南半球，则作逆时针方向流动。高气压中心附近地区的气流微弱，有下沉运动，一般少云、雨和大风，天气晴朗。
