把驾驶员的操纵指令变换为电信号以操纵飞机的系统。它由侧杆(微型驾驶杆)、敏感元件、计算机、伺服机构和助力器等组成。它不是简单地用电信号的传递来代替机械传动,而是把主操纵系统与自动控制系统(如增稳系统)结合起来,所以又称为电子飞行控制系统。电传操纵系统的优点是：结构简单，体积和重量小，易于安装和维护；便于和飞机上其他系统交联；能操纵更多的操纵面，为实现主动控制技术提供基本条件。但可靠性和抗干扰（断电、雷击、高能辐射等）能力还有待提高。因此，有的飞机还保留机械传动装置作为备份系统，以确保安全。80年代以来，飞机的电传操纵系统已经由模拟式系统转向数字式系统，并出现用光导纤维传递信号以代替电传系统的趋势。
