莲花池公园
莲花池公园位于丰台区西客站西南侧，是一座典型的古园新貌类型的公园。占地44.6公顷，其中水面15公顷。
莲花池公园以古迹莲花池得名，是研究金中都位置和地貌的实物。莲花池的古老历史可上溯数千年,与北京城的发展史相辅相成。三千多年前的蓟城就是以此处泉水为供水源而建的城池。莲花池古称西湖,其水出泊后东流而南,古称西马沟,现叫莲花池河。莲花池的湖泊与莲花池河,现在称莲花河水系。当时的莲花池水源丰沛，湖面可观,《水经注》载湖有二源,平地道泉,流结西湖,经冬不冻。《水经注》载:湖东西二里,南北三里该燕之旧池也,绿水清绽,川亭望远,亦为游瞩之胜所也。金朝建都后扩大城池，将西湖一部分包入城中，成为皇家园林之同乐园和宫城内之鱼藻池。（元朝立都后，放弃中都旧城。莲花池盛景逐渐衰落。
鉴于它的历史地位与价值，
1984年被列为北京市文物保护单位。
1999年莲花池公园恢复改造，在莲花池原址上建成一座古典形式的现代园林。
2002年5月被市园林局首批公布为一级公园。现莲花池公园行政管理隶属于丰台区园林局。
