The practice has shown that the dam body should be covered by concrete outside followed by the steps of anti-seepage and drainage in order to prevent and prolong concrete dam aging.

The paper analyses the different layout schemes of anti seepage and draining system at Xiluodu underground power plant seated in the special rock formation and area with high water level,the results are important to design and construction of hydropower plant.
