The fundamental principles of manifold method,the contact simulation,the calculation method of contact forces and stress,and other methods simulating toppling failure were introduced.

Pointing at the landslide resulted from the rainfall and taking the anti-dip rock slope as example,a simple bending-cracking model of mechanics is established based on the mechanical analyses of anti-dip rock layers,and the mechanism about the bending-dumping damage of this slope is analyzed by using the catastrophic theory.
