t合作化运动】中国在1954一1956年间通过在农村地区普遍建立合作经济的途径，对小农经济进行社会主义改造的经济改革。中共中央于1953年12月通过《关于发展农业生产合作社的决定》，要求把全面推进农业生产合作、供销合作和信用合作，作为对小农经济进行社会主义改造的三种形式同步进行。信用合作要采取不同形式，使信用合作与生产互助合作紧密结合起来，支持农业合作化的发展。根据中国农村的特点，采取了典型示范、分类指导、逐步过渡的办法，合作化运动发展得很顺利。到1955年底，全国半社会主义性质的初级农业生产合作社发展到67万个。这段时期，在实践中遵循了自愿互助的原则，又结合中国农村的实际情况，在保留农民财产私有的基础上，利用互助协作的力量来发展生产力，因而得到广大农民的普遍拥护，农村经济以较快的速度增长，初级合作化运动取得了显著成效。 但是，此时中国共产党的指导思想发生“左”的偏差，不顾生产力的现实状况，片面强调生产关系变革的反作用，急于求成，要使合作化运动向“一大二公”方向升级。此后，在实践中，忽视了自愿互助的原则，要求对农民个人财产所有权“割资本主义尾巴”，合作化运动逐渐偏离合作经济的内含和特征，走上集体化的道路。1956年底，参加合作化的农户猛增到占全体农户的96 .3%，其中有87 .8%是完全实行集体所有制的高级社。 到1958年，这种规模过大、公有化程度过高的高级社，又被“一大二公”的人民公社所取代。
