The article briefly introduced its working principle, starting mode, applications and usages.

According to different starting energy sources and excitement modes in HFPE,4 starting modes of constant pressure valve control,constant pressure position control,starting hydraulic accumulator(SHA) valve control and SHA position control were given.

To meet the needs of different applications and loads, the conventional starting mode of the high-voltage cage liquid resistance starter is improved.
