破式扫雷，具有威力大、速度快、效能高等显著特点，是我国乃至世界扫雷装备中的主打扫雷方式。爆破式扫雷，按作用机理可分为直列装药式（亦称爆破带式）扫雷和扫雷弹扫雷；按照爆破炸药的投放方式可分为火箭拖带式直列装药扫雷，预埋炸药定向爆破投送串联式集团装药扫雷、火箭扫雷弹扫雷，以及人工投送集团炸药包扫雷等多种方式。本刊介绍的国产扫雷坦克，其爆破扫雷装置是一种典型的火箭拖带直列装药式的爆破扫雷装置。其特点是结构简单、爆破威力大、扫雷率高，但由于受火箭弹射程和定向绳长度的限制，扫雷坦克必须前出到障碍物附近实施扫雷作业，扫雷时处于敌各种反坦克火力的直接威胁之下。为提高我军装甲兵部队的远程扫雷能力，我国在２０世纪７０年代初研制扫雷坦克的同时，也同步展开了兼有火箭拖带直列装药和火箭扫雷弹两者特点的新型火箭扫雷车－ｇｓｌ１１１型履带式火箭扫雷车（ｗｚ７６２ａ）。
