饮食
摩梭人以大米、玉米为主食,兼食青裸、大麦、洋芋等。夏秋季节,以青菜、萝卡等新鲜蔬菜作佐食,冬春两季以酸脆菜、干萝萝卜丝、腌鱼、腊肉等作佐食。肉食中,议猪朦(称琵琶肉)为贵、还有灌猪脚、香肠、米灌肠等风味食品。正餐前,喜欢喝酥油茶,以精把为佐食。男女老少喜喝苏理玛酒。摩梭人的家庭多属母系大家庭,一般都在一二十人左右,在家庭的饮食上不论男女老幼都是平等的。就餐时分菜共饭,主妇要按每个人的食量以及所承担的劳动,合理分配菜肴,特别是对肉食或难以吃得上的稀有菜肴,要平均分配,即使外出不在家的也要留上一份。分菜时,先敬长辈,后给晚辈,以示礼貌。平均分食的规矩,只有过春节吃年夜饭时才可例外,主妇在火塘周围摆上丰富的饭菜,大家团团而坐,各取所需,不再分食
