Taking a bay bridge with a main span 688 m as an example,this paper investigates the influence of railing curbstone structure on the flutter stability of box main girder through sectional model wind tunnel test.

Various pathological aspects of stone balustrade of the bridge are analyzed according to on-site measurement and concepts on protection and maintenance of historical relics,and relatively comprehensive protection and maintenance methods are put forward for status quo of each components of the bridge.
