The present article explored the weakening of the development of self theory,the synthesizing of research methods,the applicable and cultural nature of the research by analyzing the structure,formation,development and function of self concept in the study of self theories.

From the rise of Western Mass Culture in 30s-40s of 19~(th) century, to the true rise and prosperity of it in China in 80s, until nowadays, Mass Culture has become a major cultural pattern in contemporary China, provide for the majority of Mass Culture consumers with a large number of and a wide range of consumer products.
