性质:由大肠杆菌RNA聚合酶识别的启动子中的一个短的核苷酸顺序,即Pribnow顺序或-10顺序。-10顺序的中心位于转录起始位点上游第10对碱基(上游碱基不能转录,均被定为负值,因此上游第10对碱基用-10表示)。该顺序是由一致顺序TATAAT变化而来,是给RNA聚合酶指向的顺序,也是打开DNA双螺旋形成开放启动复合物的区域。如启动子缺少该顺序,则它不能被RNA聚合酶识别,转录也就不能起始。
