舍蝇 Musca domestica vicina 蝇科家蝇亚科昆虫的一种。又称窄额家蝇。在中国分布甚广(见图)。舍蝇繁殖力极强而快,因各地气候、温度、食物等环境不同,整个发育所需时间也长短不一。自卵孵化至成虫,约需8~14天。卵结集成块。幼虫杂食性,滋生习性极复杂,一般滋生于人畜粪中和腐败的动植物中,如果环境适宜,一星期左右即至干燥的缝穴或钻入土中化蛹。蛹与幼虫均能越冬,一般以蛹越冬。成虫耐寒力极强,当秋后气温下降、多数蝇类消灭后,舍蝇仍能继续活动和繁殖。舍蝇因有边吃边排泄的习性,因此,凡可由口腔进入人体的病原体,均可由舍蝇传播。
