含大量脂肪细胞的结缔组织。根据细胞结构和功能不同,脂肪组织分为黄色脂肪组织和棕色脂肪组织。黄色脂肪组织主要分布在皮下组织、网膜、肠系膜和黄骨髓等处。它具有贮存脂肪、保持体温和产生热能的作用。棕色脂肪新生儿含量较多,主要分布在肩胛间区和腋窝等处。棕色脂肪产生大量热能,有利于新生儿抗寒和维持体温。脂肪组织含量多少因身体部位、年龄、性别、饮食生活等情况而异。
