形态特征:薯蓣科薯蓣属缠绕藤本植物。根状茎横生，栓皮显著片状剥离。茎左形，近无毛。单叶互生，掌状心脏形，边缘有浅裂、中裂或深裂。花雌雄异株，茎部花常2-4朵簇生，顶端通常单一。雌花序穗状，常单生。蒴果翅长1.5-2厘米，宽0.6-1厘米。种子每室2枚，四周有不等宽的薄膜状翅。
生境分布:生于海拔300-2000米的林边或灌木丛中，沟边也有。分布于东北、华北、西北、华东及河南等地。朝鲜、前苏联、日本也有。
用途:根状茎入药，能舒活络、祛风止痛
