性质:白色结晶粉末。熔点109-111℃。易溶于水和乙醇。有类似蒜的臭气,味酸,有吸湿性。

制备方法:将左旋半胱氨酸盐酸盐(无结晶水)溶于0.8倍蒸馏水,此时可适当加热。然后在加有活性炭的漏斗中过滤,滤液加入3.6倍体积的95%药用乙醇,再加入工业吡啶(0.8倍体积)先在冰水浴中冷却后,再放入冰箱过夜,次日过滤,用三氯甲烷(工业品)洗涤,过滤,压干,迅速放入真空干燥器,常温干燥5h,得左旋半胱氨酸。收率86.5%。

用途:生化试剂,医药,该品用作祛痰药,称痰易净,易咳静。对粘稠的痰液有分解作用。作用机理是该品分子结构中所含的巯基能使粘痰中粘蛋白多肽链中的二硫键断裂,使粘蛋白分解,降低了痰液的粘度,使之液化易于咳出。适用于急,慢性呼吸道疾病的痰液粘稠不易咳出者,以及大量粘痰阻塞而引起吸吸因难的危重症状。
