| 鲇形目 Siluriformescatfishes 硬骨鱼纲的一目。世界有31科约2200种，中国有11科近100种。鲇常写作鲶。因两颌多具发达的须（多者4对），在过去分类系统中被称为丝颌类。又因鳔借一列韦氏小骨与内耳相连，而和鲤形目、鲑鲤目及电鳗目一起组成骨鳔类。鱼体大多裸露无鳞，眼小。胸鳍及背鳍常有用于自卫的硬刺，刺基分别与喙骨或背鳍基板形成特殊的制动装置，一旦竖起，外力不易使之复原。脂鳍常存在。该目均为底栖肉食性鱼类，很多是重要的食用鱼，也是一般的游钓鱼。欧鲇个体最大，长达3米以上，重约250千克。目内大多为刺毒鱼类，背鳍以及特别是胸鳍的硬刺附有毒腺，可致伤痛。鳗鲇尤毒，可致人死。绝大多数生活于淡水，仅海鲇科广布于热带和亚热带海域，鳗鲇科分布于印度洋-西太平洋近海。 |
