为了维护国内治安，平息恐怖活动和暴乱，科学家们研制了一种新型子弹，它从一种野生植物的果实中提炼出的致痒物，然后把这种致痒物制成炸弹，被这种炸弹击中的人员不会死去，但会全身奇痒难受，丧失战斗力。这种致痒弹由菲律宾率先研制，这种新型爆炸物的出现，很好地解决了愈演愈烈类似足球流氓闹事之类的骚乱。其作用机理是利用其爆炸后所产生的致痒物质在人身上造成致痒的特效功能，使骚乱者失去“战斗力”，同时又可减少伤害。目前，这种炸弹还只是用来维护社会治安，还没有得到普遍的使用。
