The part of the identified midges composed 14 species of Dasyhelea of Subfamily Dasyheleinae,9 species of Atrichopogon,16 species of Forcipomyia,1 species of Lasiohelea of Subfamily Forcipomyiinae,3 species of Culicoides of Subfamily Ceratopogoninae belong to 3 subfamily,5 genera .
经分类研究,所制标本共有蠓科(Ceratopogonidae)的3亚科、5属、43种,即毛蠓亚科(Subfamily Dasyheleinae)的毛蠓属(DasyheleaKieffer,1911)14种、铗蠓亚科(Subfamily Forcipomyiinae)的裸蠓属(AtrichopogonKieffer,1906)9种、铗蠓属(Forcipomyia Meigen,1818)16种和蠛蠓属(LasioheleaKieffer,1921)1种及蠓亚科(Subfamily Ceratopogoninae)的库蠓属(CulicoidesLatreille,1809)3种。

天柱峰又称为皖伯尖，万山尖。《道书》称为司命真人发祥所都，海拔1488.4米，孤立晴宵，顶天立地，石骨嶙峋，峭立如柱。五指、莲花、天池、含珠、飞来、月华诸峰拱卫左右，奇松、怪石、云海、佛光、各领风骚。李白《江上望皖公山》诗云：“奇峰出奇云，秀水含秀气。”白居易《题天柱峰》诗云：“天柱一峰擎日月，洞门千仞锁云雷。”
