指外伤引起关节脱位或关节附近骨折经治疗后不钙化的组织发生骨化。由于血肿机化,成纤维细胞增生,随后骨样组织形成而骨化,可见于肌肉直接损伤后,骨膜附近以及肌腱、筋膜和韧带内。早期局部可有波动肿块、皮肤蓝红色。肿块吸收后或缩小残留硬结。骨块肿大可使肌肉及关节活动受限。X线摄片可见软组织有钙化或骨化影。
