性质:片状结晶。熔点280-284℃(分解)。可溶于水。

制备方法:由硫脲与溴乙烷反应生成S-乙基硫脲氢溴酸盐,再与甘氨酸反应制得胍乙酸。将硫脲、溴乙烷及无水乙醇混合,于水浴温热3h,使硫脲全部溶解。然后减压蒸出乙醇及过量溴乙烷,使残留物结晶,干燥,得S-乙基硫脲氢溴酸盐。再将氢氧化钠溶液加入所得的S-乙基硫脲氢溴酸盐中,冷却下,迅速加入甘氨酸和水配成的热溶液。结晶后加入乙醚,放置过夜,将混合物在冰浴中冷却2h,分出乙醚层。吸滤,依次用冰水、乙醇、乙醚洗涤,晾干即得成品。

用途:用作有机合成中间体。
