Objective To study the effect of calcitonin gene related peptide(CGRP) and nerve growth factor(NGF) on the expression of c-Fos protein in striate cortex vessels of rats with transient cerebral ischemia/reperfusion(I/R).

To study the effect of calcitonin gene related peptide (CGRP) and nerve growth factor (NGF) on the expression of Caspase-3 protein in striate cortex of rats with transient global cerebral ischemia/reperfusion, immunohistochemistry and microscope image analysis were used to observe the expression of Caspase-3 protein in the striate cortex of rats with global cerebral ischemia.

BrdU labeling indicated that the positive cells in the lateral ganglionic eminence migrated in a similar way to those in control group 6 h following X-ray irradiation,the positive cells were observed to be around the cystic cavities in cortex-striatum 2 days later and migrated to the ventral cortical plate 4 days later.
