精神疾病二级预防(seeondary preve。-tion of mental disease)通过缩短病程来降低精神疾病的患病率。早期进行有效的二级预防不仅能缩短病期，而且可以减低疾病的严重程度和死亡率。具体措施是早发现、早诊断、旱治疗，争取良好疗效并防止复发。_级预防在目前具有现实意义，因为许多精神疾病的病因未明，难以开展切实有效的一级预防，其疗效和预后，都与能否获得合适的治疗有关。普及精神卫生知识，纠正社会及家庭对于精神病人的不正确看法，有利于病人的早期就诊。提高非专业医务人员的精神科诊疗水平，也是江级预防的重要方面。精神疾病的复发，是当前仍未解决的问题。为了减少复发和巩固疗效，要从药物、心理、环境三方面着手，医务人员与家庭和社会紧密配合，妥善安排，共同关心病人的病情、思想和生活。 (赵亚忠撰刘协和市)
