面神经短缺而无法作吻合时，可选用腓肠神经、大隐神经、耳大神经、股外侧皮神经或颈丛的皮支作移植，应较实际缺损长15%左右。近年来有用面神经横跨移植及带血管神经的股薄肌移植，取得较好的疗效。造成移植手术失败的原因常由于神经断裂处的近侧及远侧的瘢痕组织切除不够；局部组织床血运不佳，如存在瘢痕组织；吻合处的固定不妥当；术后局部出血；手术不细致等。
