形态特征:状牛儿苗科多年生草本植物，高30-40厘米。根状茎粗而直立。茎直立，不分枝或少分枝，下部仅有疏长白毛，上部有较多单毛和腺毛。叶近圆形或肾状圆形，对生，长4-5厘米，宽4-7厘米，深裂达基部，羽状深裂，小裂片有齿状缺刻，基生叶有长柄，达15厘米;中部基生叶柄较短;顶部叶几乎无柄。花序顶生，柄长3-6厘米，花柄长约2厘米，向下弯曲;花瓣淡紫色，长1.5厘米，向后面反转。蒴果长2厘米，有密柔毛。
生境分布:生于海拔3500-4500米的草原、林缘。分布于川西高原、西藏东部、青海。
