为罂粟科植物全缘绿绒蒿的花、果实或全草。
【植物形态】
全缘绿绒蒿，又名：毛瓣绿绒蒿。 一年生草本，高25～90厘米，粗0.6～1.5厘米，生棕色长柔毛。基生叶多数，丛状，长达30厘米，宽达4厘米；叶片倒披针形或倒卵形，先端急尖或钝，基部渐狭成长柄，具3～5条主脉。茎上部叶无柄，披针形或倒披针形，最上部数枚近轮生。花通常1朵生于茎顶端，其他3～4朵生于茎上部叶腋；花瓣6～8，黄色，倒卵形，长达6厘米；雄蕊多数，长约2厘米，花药矩圆形，长约4毫米，花丝狭条形；子房卵形，密生黄色糙毛，花柱短，柱头头状。蒴果4～9裂瓣。 生于山坡草地或多石砾处。分布云南西北部、四川西部、青海和甘肃南部及西藏等地。
【采集】
7～8月采收花、果实或全草(除去毛刺)，洗净，晒干。
【性味】
①《西藏常用中草药》："甘涩，寒，有小毒。" ②《高原中草药治疗手册》："苦涩，微寒，有小毒。"
【归经】
《高原中草药治疗手册》："入肝、肾、大肠经。"
【功用主治】
清热利湿，镇咳平喘。治肺炎咳嗽，肝炎，胆绞痛，胃肠炎，湿热水肿，白带，痛经。 ①《西藏常用中草药》："清热泄肺，除湿利水。治咳嗽，肺炎，肝炎，湿热水肿。" ②《高原中草药治疗手册》："镇静止痛，镇咳平喘，制痢止血。治胃肠发炎，肝炎，胆痛，白带，痛经。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，1～2钱。
【选方】
①治哮喘：绿绒蒿花或果配麻黄根、天仙子、葶苈子煎汤服。 ②治肠炎及久泻：绿绒蒿花或果配火把果根、香蒿、火绒草煎汤服。 ③治胆绞痛：绿绒蒿花或果配莨菪叶煎汤服。(选方出《高原中草药治疗手册》)
