性质:即当具有回文结构的DNA变性后,倒转原来呈现回文结构的重复DNA序列之间可以形成发夹结构或称十字形结构(cruciform structure),(图暂缺)。除了转运氨基酸的tRNA的二级结构模型呈现发夹结构外,真核细胞染色体DNA结构上也有发夹结构出现,多位学者已用电镜在许多真核细胞DNA中观察到长度为350~1200碱基对(bp)的发夹形结构。DNA中回文结构尚不十分清楚,推测与DNA-蛋白质之间的识别有关。
