| 产地及产期: 产于我国西沙群岛和海南岛等海域。 | |
| 介绍: 一般体长 60～75厘米，是海参中最大的一种。背面每3～11个大肉刺的基部相连成梅花瓣状，其间夹生小肉刺。腹面平坦，腹足小而密挤。四周围有触手20个。背面橙红或橙黄色，散布黄色或褐色斑点，腹面赤红色，触手黄色。 干品呈长筒形略扁，腹部开膛，体表有许多梅花形肉刺，体表黑色或近深褐色。一般按个体重量分，大的每只重150克，中的每只75克，小的每只35克。参体完整、肉质厚实、刺尖挺立、刀口整齐、腹内肉面平整、无残缺的为上品。参体较为完整、肉质薄、参刺横竖倒伏、腹间刀口不整齐、腹内肉面坑凹或有穿孔的为次品。 |
