剧情：
改编自通俗小说家伊坂幸太郎的代表作，故事人物不多，但复杂的关系和时空重叠的叙述方式构筑出不可思议的谜团。
19岁的青年椎名（滨田岳饰）考上了大学，独自搬进仙台的一所小公寓居住。这天，他一边哼着歌，一边整理行李。突然，住在隔壁的河崎（瑛太饰）叫住椎名，对他说：“去抢劫书店吧。”
椎名吓了一跳，河崎开始细述原委。原来河崎想送本《广辞苑》给同住在公寓里的留学生多鲁吉（田村圭生饰），好让他查找“家鸭”和“野鸭”这两个词的区别。
椎名觉得事情很荒诞，不想卷进去。但第二天他还是按照河崎所说的那样，拿着玩具手枪来到了书店的后门。抢劫书店的行动成功了。然而仔细一看，椎名发现荒乱之下竟然错拿成了《广辞林》！
河崎把自己、多鲁吉，以及多鲁吉的现女朋友、河崎的旧女友琴美（关惠美饰）的故事告诉了椎名，并嘱咐他千万不要相信宠物店店主丽子（大冢宁宁饰）的话。
不知不觉间，善良迟钝的椎名踏入了河崎设下的圈套之中，然而，这背后隐藏着令人伤怀的真相……
