药理作用： 作用与卡前列素相似，比较稳定，作用较持久。阴道给药有明显子宫收缩作用和扩宫颈作用。临床用于抗早孕、扩宫颈及中期引产。
适应症： 本品配合丙酸睾酮、米非司酮或孕三烯酮使用，可使抗早孕有效率提高。
用法用量： 阴道给药，用于抗早孕：(1)先口服孕三烯酮1次3mg，1日3次，共4天；或先肌注丙酸睾酮1日1次100mg，共3天，48小时后阴道后穹窿处放1粒卡前列甲酯栓(5mg)，经12小时无效，再肌注卡前列素2mg。(2)1次口服600mg米非司酮，第3天或第4天阴道后穹窿放1粒卡前列甲酯栓(1mg)。(3)单用时，直接将卡前列甲酯5mg放入阴道后穹窿处，如12小时后无效，再肌注2mg卡前列素，用于扩宫颈，于负压吸宫前放1粒阴道栓(0.5mg)。
注意事项： 主要有恶心、呕吐、腹泻等。
