植物形态:多年生水生草本。茎细长,丝状,叶有两种,沈水叶线形,长约6厘米;浮水叶椭圆形或披针形,长1.5~3厘米,宽4~10毫米,具平行叶脉,基部钝尖,先端尖锐或钝尖,全缘,两面无毛;托叶细小,分离。花绿色,腋生穗状花序,伸出水面,花被4片,雄蕊4枚,雌蕊4枚,子房上位,各1室。小核果斜广卵形,顶端有喙。 生态分布:产我国南北各地,多生于池沼及水田中。 药用部分:全草人药,夏秋采用。 用途:性味微苦、凉,无毒,能清热消肿;治火眼,利水通淋,消气膨胀,疗黄疸,瘰疬,痔疮,调月经,治红崩白带,避孕,并治小儿螬气腹痛。用量:0.5~1两。
