【植物形态】
龙须眼子菜 多年生沉水草本。茎细弱，线状，直径约1～1.5毫米。叶线形或丝状，长3～10厘米；托叶成鞘状，长2～3厘米，膜质。花序梗细弱，穗状花序长1～4厘米，由2～6轮间断的花簇组成；花被4片，绿色，镊合状排列；雄蕊4，无花丝；心皮4，无柄，分离。小核果椭圆形或宽卵形，长约3～4毫米，先端具短喙，背面具脊或圆形，腹面扁平或稍凹陷。花期6～7月。 生于池溏、沼泽或沟渠中。分布我国东北、西北各地。
【采集】
6～7月采收，洗去污泥，晾干。

《中国沙漠地区药用植物》："微苦，凉。"
【功用主治】
《中国沙漠地区药用植物》："清热解毒。治肺炎，疮疖。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，1～2钱。外用：煎汁熬膏敷。
