Detailed investigations on field geology, mineralogy, geochemistry and isotope geology have shown that the vien type gold deposits in the Xiaotian——Mozitan volcanic basin have the characteristics of epithermal deposit and belong to quartz——adularia subtype.

The Bitian sericite_adularia type epithermal Ag_Au deposit is an important member in the intrusion_centered porphyry_epithermal metallogenic system of Zijinshan area.

The adularia associated with Au, Ag mineralization in Bitian gold deposit is identified by Electron Microprobe, Scanning Electron Microscope, and X ray Diffractometer.

Based on the election microprobe(EMP) analyses of barite ore and host rocks of the Dahebian and Xinhuan barite deposits in eastern Guiahou,China,the paper reports hyalophane for the first time in the barite deposits,which is a typical low-temperature mineral,and its origin was analyzed based on its chemical composition,optical characters and correlation.
