Based on the election microprobe(EMP) analyses of barite ore and host rocks of the Dahebian and Xinhuan barite deposits in eastern Guiahou,China,the paper reports hyalophane for the first time in the barite deposits,which is a typical low-temperature mineral,and its origin was analyzed based on its chemical composition,optical characters and correlation.
