以没食子酸甲酯为原料,与1-溴代十二烷醚化生成3,4,5-三-(十二烷氧基)苯甲酸甲酯,然后采用原位生成的硼氢化锂还原成3,4,5-三-(十二烷氧基)苯甲醇,再用氯铬酸吡啶盐(PCC)氧化成3,4,5-三-(十二烷氧基)苯甲醛,最后与巴比妥酸进行Knoevenagel缩合反应得到了标题化合物。
